The Dudley Boyz were a legendary group during their initial stint in the firm since they both fared well and won a lot of trophies. On the other hand, their second run was not as excellent since they were just present in the firm to put many talents over, and their legendary momentum decreased as a result of this. Bully Ray commented on this situation at Insight with Chris Van Vliet.

Did Vince McMahon harm the relations between him and Bulley Ray?

Bully Ray recently claimed that because of this, he did not wish to retire from the organization and left after his one-year contract for his second stint expired. He didn’t like how he was treated and believed that beating the renowned combo should have been a challenging assignment that no one could do.

He stated in the interview, “I told Vince I couldn’t do the Dudley thing the way he wanted it. We did it for a year. Vince sat me and D-Von and said, ‘Here’s what I want you to do. Work with The New Day, and help them get over. Work with The Usos, and help them get over. Work with Wyatts, and help them get over. And then whoever else we throw at you. Okay, you got it, no problem. The boss sat us down. This is how much he’s paying us. This is what he needs. You got it, but after a year of doing it – okay, I’m burned out on The Dudleys and I know I got Bully Ray in my back pocket.” [H/T Thirstyfornews]

He continued about D-Von and revealed that thresigntfromh Bully did not resigned with the company D-Von did but not as a wrestler but as a backstage producer. D-Von’s successful game is one of the producer’s successful backstage producers.
