According to a new SEC filing, Vince McMahon entered into an employment agreement with WWE, effective as of March 29, 2023. The agreement is retroactive to January 9, 2023, which is the date he was appointed Executive Chairman.…

McMahon’s employment contract is for a two-year period, but unless he or WWE gives 180 days’ notice, it will be automatically extended by one year each year. Wrestlenomics.com’s Brandon Thurston pointed out that McMahon “could still likely be removed if WWE came under control of new owners.”

If a sale goes through, McMahon’s participation at WWE Wrestlemania 39 could be his final as the organization’s main owner and executive chairman. It’s not yet known if McMahon will actually make an appearance on camera during the WrestleMania 39.
The Word “McMahon” appeared in a Wrestlemania advertisement. On a match graphic, the words “DIRECTED BY VINCE MCMAHON” were displayed at the bottom, however they were later removed after receiving notice on social media.
