Gaikwad RECORD BREAKING Season
Gaikwad did not start well in the VHT 2022, as he managed to score just 19 runs against Haryana. To note, Maharashtra also lost that game by three wickets. Gaikwad then made a solid comeback against Railways after he stroked a match-winning 124*. He then played a decent knock of 40 runs in his side’s victory against Bengal.
Gaikwad smacked seven sixes in an over vs UP
Ruturaj Gaikwad entered record books in the game against Uttar Pradesh. In the all-important quarterfinal against UP, the 25-year-old smashed seven sixes in as many balls to plunder 42 runs in an over.
He saved his best knock and smacked an unbeaten 220 runs in just 159 deliveries. During that inning, Gaikwad created history after he smashed a total of seven home runs in an inning. Maharashtra won that game easily by 58 runs and qualified for the semi-final of VHT 2022.

Gaikwad played a solid knock of 108 runs against Saurashtra in the final
Maharashtra were in some trouble after they lost their first wicket on the score of just eight runs. However, it did not affect Gaikwad. The right-handed batter played cautiously at the start of his innings, but paced his innings well as he completed his third hundred in the knockout games.
