Daniil Medvedev leads first quarter

Daniil Medvedev is the top seed in the tournament and he leads the first quarter of the draws. He makes his return to the ATP Tour after pulling out from the Astana Open semifinal. The Russian will begin his campaign by facing Nikoloz Basilashvili in the first round. A victory against Basilashvili will pit him against either either Dominic Thiem or Tommy Paul in the second round. Both Paul and Thiem will be facing each other in the first round.

Sixth seed Jannik Sinner is also part of this quarter and the Italian faces Cristian Garin in the first round.  Sinner is set to make his return to the tour since his withdrawal from the Sofia Open semifinal after an injury. If Sinner wins the first match, he is set to face either Francisco Cerundolo or widlcard entrant Filip Misolic.

Andrey Rublev headlines second quarter

Andrey Rublev, who is the third seed leads the second quarter of the draws. Rublev is in good form at the moment as he won the Gijon Open title last week. He begins his campaign at Vienna by facing Diego Schwartzman in the first round. Rublev will face another challenge if he advances to the  second round as he is likely to set up clash with Grigor Dimitrov. Dimitrov will begin his campaign against a qualifier.

The other seeded player in this quarter is Caneron Norrie, who is the seventh seed. Norrie will face a qualifier in the first round of this tournament. Tallon Griekspoor and Marcos Giron are the other players in this quarter.

Taylor Fritz and Matteo Berrettini in third quarter

Taylor Fritz is the fourth seeded player in the singles at the Vienna Open and he is all set to take on a qualifier in the first round of the tournament. He is the top seed in this quarter and resumes his action in the ATP Tour after finishing as runner-up at the Japan Open recently. If he advances to the second round, he is likely to set up clash with Denis Shapovalov, who is unseeded. Shapovalov is set to face wildcard entrant Jurij Rodionov in the first round.

Eight seed Matteo Berrettini is the only other player who is seeded in this quarter. Berrettini will face Great Britain’s Dan Evans in the first round. Karen Khachanov also finds himself in this quarter and he will be up against a qualifier in the first round.

Stefanos Tsitsipas leads final quarter

Stefanos Tsitsipas is the second seed in this tournament and he opens the campaign against Austria’s wildcard entrant Dennis Novak. Tsitsipas is the top seeded player in this quarter and he will be entering the tournament after the Stockholm Open, where he made it to the finals. If Tsitsipas advances to the second round, he will probably face a big challenge from Borna Coric in the second round. Coric defeated Tsitsipas in the Cincinnati Masters final this year. Coric will face Filip Krajinovic in the first round.

The other seeded player in this quarter is fifth seed Hubert Hurkacz, who faces a tough challenge in the first round as he will be up against Frances Tiafoe. Hurkacz recently bowed out from the quarterfinal of the European Open. Meanwhile, Tiafoe lost in the quarterfinal at the Stocholm Open against Emil Ruusuvuori. The winner of the contest between Hurkacz and Tiafoe will probably face Ruusuvuori in the second round. Ruusuvuori begins his campaign by facing Lorenzo Sonego.
