Lawyer Eugen Vidineac, who represents the Tate brothers, said to Romanian news outlet Gandul that the defense was not given a chance to review the prosecution’s case file, and there was no evidence of human trafficking.

In this regard, I would like to emphasize—at least from this perspective—that there isn’t a single piece of evidence, aside from the victim’s account, that suggests that a crime of rape was committed.”
