- Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol
Canelo Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) lost his second fight on May 7, 2022, when WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol (20-0, 11 KOs), in a unanimous decision, defeated him. You can now watch the entire bout video of this clash that DAZN has officially released.
Canelo increased his weight for this fight, but Dmitry was ready, willing, and able to match Alvarez’s potential speed advantage. In addition to the quick combinations, Bivol also displayed outstanding defense, which made it impossible for Canelo to score or inflict any actual harm. It was unusual to see Canelo being outperformed in this manner.
- Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua 2
On August 20, 2022, Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua 2 was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, at the King Abdullah Sports City. The main bout featured a collision between Anthony Joshua (24-3) and Oleksandr Usyk (20-0). It was a fight for the WBA, IBF, IBO, and WBO heavyweight titles. The bout was streamed live on DAZN. Oleksandr Usyk won in a tie-breaking vote (115-113 Joshua, 115-113 Usyk, 116-112 Usyk).
Joshua, 32, must now regroup after suffering his third career defeat, while Usyk, 35, is still unbeaten and plans to challenge Tyson Fury for all of the belts if the money is right.

- Jai Opetaia vs Mairis Briedis
On July 2, 2022, on the Gold Coast, Jai Opetaia defeated Mairis Briedis through a thrilling unanimous decision (116-112 twice, 115-113) to become the new IBF cruiserweight champion of the world. In his first title battle, the Australian displayed no symptoms of nervousness, coming out on top early and dominating the contest well.
In his lengthy career, Oleksandr Usyk—a talented Ukrainian who won the cruiserweight title undisputedly and is now the undefeated heavyweight champion after defeating Anthony Joshua—was the only opponent Briedis had ever lost to.
