UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya has been on a dominant run since winning the UFC title. Despite his shocking loss to Alex Pereira last year, he rebounded quickly in their last encounter at UFC 287. Now, the champion awaits his next challenger Dricus Du Plessis which is yet to lock out. However, recent rumors suggest Israel Adesanya might defend his title at UFC 293.

Recently, Israel Adesanya dropped a video on his YouTube channel which was a sneak peak into his life. In the video, the champion spoke about UFC 293 in Sydney, Australia. Ahead of the big PPV in the Australian continent, he revealed 6 fighters from his City Kickboxing Gym will feature on the card. The City Kickboxing Gym has a great reputation around the world for its world class training and Adesanya is one of them to train there.

Primarily, we are known to only 4 fighters from the gym which includes Kai-Kara France, Dan Hooker, Israel Adesanya and UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski. As per the reports, Israel Adesanya, Kai Kara-France, and Carlos Ulberg are confirmed names for UFC 293. However, reports also suggest two additional names Tyson Pedro and Shane Young to be on UFC 293 card.

The Styleblender added he is actively training hard with his teammates ahead of the September PPV. This might be a good chance for the fans to look new faces in the UFC.

Back in May 2023, UFC announced its return to Australia. Following UFC 284, UFC now returns to Sydney for a rumored power-packed card. Currently, the company hasn’t disclosed the main and co-main events for the PPV. However, rumors are strongly suggesting Israel Adesanya vs Dricus Du Plessis for the UFC middleweight Title.

After a top-notch finish at UFC 287, Israel Adesanya looks forward to his next challenge. This time, South African fighter Dricus Du Plessis stands in the way to stop the champion. With a jaw-dropping victory over Robert Whittaker, Du Plessis propelled for the championship opportunity against Adesanya. This fight has already fueled the rivalry before its announcement.
