On the most recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan and his guest actor Ice Cube explored why the brand chose a transgender TikTok celebrity as the face of its beer.
Eventually, during their 2.5-hour talk, Ice Cube brought up the Bud Light scandal.
Rogan talked about the boycott by the people and how it has affected the companies “The only time [capital] respects opinions is when people boycott s-t and it works like this Bud Light thing, and now people are like, ‘Don’t do that again,'”.

“Who controls Bud Light? That’s the question,” Ice Cube questioned additionally “Why would they make a dumb decision like that? Are they trying to ruin Bud Light? Are they trying to take down some of our most iconic American brands?
The podcaster attempted to explain how the Bud Light audience is also present at other locations, such as Target, where all merchandise supporting the LGBTQ+ group had to be moved all the way to the back of their stores.
The executive who chose to use Mulvaney in their campaigns, Alissa Heinerscheid, received some jabs from the podcast presenter.
