On May 30, 2023, Team Conor McGregor and Team Michael Chandler squared off in Season 31 of “The Ultimate Fighter” on television. However, Team McGregor has historically lost, falling to Chandler’s team in the TUF 31 for the fifth time in a row.
In the fifth TUF episode, Brad Katona, a teammate of Chandler’s, defeated Carlos Vera, a teammate of McGregor. In addition, Katona is well known for winning TUF 27 and the lucrative UFC contract that followed. He is also renowned for his perplexing accent, though.
After suffering his fifth straight defeat, Conor McGregor also became enraged, lashing out at Michael Chandler and the judges. Chandler believed Kutona had done enough to win both rounds of the fight, while McGregor disagreed and urged the judges to order a death round.
