‘Weight Bully’ Khabib Nurmagomedov Mocked For Holding Down Ex UFC 185 lbs Champ- “Shame”

‘Weight Bully’ Khabib Nurmagomedov Mocked For Holding Down Ex UFC 185 lbs Champ- “Shame”

Short videos of their grappling match have circulated online, and they show a much heavier Khabib after his retirement keeping Rockhold down and causing him some issues.

It seems like Khabib Nurmagomedov is capable of handling heavier opponents as well.

Luke Rockhold was welcomed back to the American Kickboxing Academy in 2022 by the former UFC 155-pound champion, and he wasn’t treated kindly.

In a recent training session, the two were grappling, and the currently retired Nurmagomedov, who practically strolls around at light heavyweight, was able to take Rockhold down a few times and hold him.

Longtime comrades Luke Rockhold and Khabib Nurmagomedov were able to meet and train together once more at the AKA gym in San Jose, despite the fact that both men currently have a lot of different things going on.

Short videos of their grappling match have circulated online, and they show a much heavier Khabib after his retirement keeping Rockhold down and causing him some issues.

On Rockhold’s second training video, Khabib said, “I just miss you, I hug you brother.”

In that video, Rockhold exchanged insults in response and yelled, “Keep practising!” as he finally managed to stand up. This did not restart the practice; rather, it simply gave Khabib more motivation to pursue Rockhold, who was laughing, trampling over objects and knocked down by the edge of the mats.

Now, fans had various reactions after the clip resurfaced on X Some said “It’s a shame he retired early”, while someone else commented, “ Khabib was a weight bully and UFC allowed it to happen.”

Also, Rockhold believes that the only rational strategy is to get out of the traps soon and get Khabib with something early on since he feels that the longer the battle drags on, the more at ease he becomes.

Obviously, drawing conclusions from training exercises that lack context is not a good idea, especially if they are based on incredibly brief videos of engaging training sessions. Having said that, it is interesting to watch Khabib collaborate with a past champion from a division above.

Khabib, though, discovered that their weight differences have decreased.
