UFC Hall of Famer Jose Aldo claims to be friends with Conor McGregor

Aldo was questioned about Conor McGregor’s friendship and whether he would fight the Irishman once more during a recent press conference. The UFC hall of famer declared that he wouldn’t fight The Notorious once more. He stated: “It would have been a good fight back then, but not now. I appreciate him now, and we are friends and Instagram followers.” He also added that,“Conor McGregor sent me red panties in a light hearted manner after my win over Frankie Edgar.”

One month after losing to Merab Dvalishvili in a highly regarded bantamweight match, Aldo, 36, left the UFC in September. Aldo, a Brazilian native from Manaus, attained 145-pound dominance in the WEC, where in 2009 he defeated Mike Brown to claim his first major title. Before the UFC accepted the featherweight class and named Aldo its first-ever champion, he twice successfully defended the belt.

When he lost to opponent Conor McGregor in a shocking 13-second knockout in 2015, his championship career ended. Seven months later, he won back the title by defeating Frankie Edgar, but he dropped it once more to Max Holloway in his subsequent fight.
