WATCH: UFC News: UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya witnessed boxing’s superstar Gervonta “Tank” Davis deliver a brutal knockout and couldn’t help but react in amazement. Adesanya posted a video on his YouTube channel showing him watching Davis vs Ryan Garcia. In the 7th round, Davis landed a body shot to Garcia’s midsection that sent him crumpling to the canvas in pain. The knockout by Davis clearly left an impression on the UFC champ, who is a big combat sports fan himself. Adesanya gave major props to Davis for the one-punch finish, saying “Phantom that’s the ghost I call that the ghost that the ghost give it up” After this he played the clip in slow motion so that he can see the knockout punch clearly and while watching he said “oh that’s that’s the ghost fish bro that was it yeah it was glancing but but he fought it for so long though that amount of like that’s pain and for him not to get up like because he could hear the numbers and he wants to get up and he’s on his knees he’s not even lying down he’s trying to fight it but his body just shut down he tried man” . watch full reaction below

With the win, Gervonta Davis successfully defended his WBA lightweight title and moves on to even bigger potential fights. Ryan Garcia, who was undefeated before this bout, will have to recover from the first loss of his pro career. As for Israel Adesanya, he was thoroughly entertained as a fan getting to watch a masterful performance by Davis. Adesanya knows good striking when he sees it, and “Tank” Davis clearly impressed him with that picture-perfect body blow to finish the fight.

The KO was a scary scene, but fortunately Ryan Garcia was able to recover after a few minutes. Fans of both boxing and MMA could appreciate a finishing blow like that, which is why Israel Adesanya’s stunned reaction was fully warranted. As champion of another combat sport, Adesanya simply couldn’t believe his eyes at what Gervonta Davis was able to do in that moment.
