Strickland spoke to the media ahead of his main event at UFC Vegas 66 this weekend. And in typical Strickland fashion, he got into a little argument with a reporter. When the American fighter found out the reporter was from England, he said,

“Does it feel good? Isn’t it nice not to have a f**king camera everywhere you go? Isn’t England like the most surveyed state?” He then added, “I don’t know man, you guys have cameras at every f**king corner.”

Therefore, these comments from Strickland showed that he is not a fan of living in England because of the increased surveillance. However, the reporter was a good sport and entertained Strickland’s taunts.

Sean Strickland explains why the USA is better than England

While the interaction between the two was fairly cordial, it also showed Strickland’s honest opinion. However, these opinions are not without reason. In fact, the UFC middleweight also explained why he thinks the USA is better than England.

Strickland said, “You live in America though, right? Yea, because it’s way better than England. It’s alright. It’s the home of the free. But why is it the place for work and opportunity? Because it’s better than England.”

The American fighter then finished by saying, “Just admit it bro, you could be an American for a day, f**k.” Therefore, these comments show that Strickland is clearly not a fan of living in England. It will be interesting to see if he would ever fight at a UFC event in London.

What do you make of these comments from Sean Strickland? Do you think he’s right in saying England is better than the USA?
