UFC Vegas 66: Cannonier vs Strickland: Sean Strickland is one of the loudest mouths in the current UFC roster, who never shies from speaking his mind. Similar behavior was witnessed when he recently appeared at the UFC Fight Night 216 press conference. Ahead of headlining the last UFC event of the year against Jared Cannonier, Strickland delivered some bold comments to the reporters.

Sean Strickland reflected on his opinion on how he considers himself different from other sporting athletes. His response baffled several reporters and fight fans.

Talking about his profession, ‘Tarzan’ said, “I love my job but I am not gonna go and look in the fuc**** mirror and think I am like something fuc****, I am LeBron James. No, I am not. I am a fuc**** prostitute man. I take my fuc*** clothes off. Dana says go fight that guy, I am like  ‘All right Dana , how much?’. He gives me a number and I am like fu** it lets go, Dana I will fight that motherfuc***. So, you know, I just don’t have an illusion of, like I am not disillusioned of what I am.”

Sean Strickland is one of the toughest middleweights in the world right now. Boasting off a 25-4 pro record, he is far from the current title ride. However, a win over Jared Cannonier this weekend can put him on the line for a 185 lbs title shot.

Strickland lost his last UFC outing via first-round KO against Alex Pereira in July 2022. It was his second appearance in the year. While Strickland stands 1-1 till now in 2022, he will try to score his second win of the year against ‘Killer Gorilla’, which may not be an easy task.

Cannonier has won 5 of his last 7 fights. He lost his last fight for the middleweight title against Israel Adesanya and will try to rebound from that. Apart from the intriguing main event, UFC Fight Night 216 will shelter several more stacked bouts. Here’s a look at the complete fight card for UFC Vegas 66.
