Even though drinking alcohol occasionally can be enjoyable, Rogan acknowledged that it has no long-term benefits. He said the implications would be disastrous if athletes did not prioritize recovery and health in combat sports at the highest levels.

Rogan stated, “You are probably giving your career more time by not drinking. There is a reason why people enjoy drinking, and bars are located all over the place. But in actuality, it’s f***ing awful for you. And if you can maximize your healing and vitality by abstaining from alcohol, I would encourage people to do that if you’re a professional athlete and compete in the world’s hardest sport.”

UFC Star Conor McGregor promotes Alcohol consumption

Conor McGregor, the face of the UFC, has instead consistently advertised his drink of choice, Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey. Conor McGregor, the company’s founder, has actively publicised the beverage. The Irishman frequently participates in marketing initiatives and even promotes the company on his personal social media pages.

When he competed against Khabib Nurmagomedov in their notorious UFC 229 match, “Notorious” also made sure that the liquor company was a recognised sponsor of the UFC. The event had the highest pay-per-view sales in UFC history, proving that the commercial decision was successful.
