Usman Nurmagomedov predicts that Charles Oliveira will lose his title bout against Islam Makhachev and experience the same fate.
Makhachev (24-1 MMA, 13-1 UFC) and Oliveira (34-9 MMA, 22-9 UFC) will square off in the main event of UFC 294 on Oct. 21 at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena.
At UFC 280 in October, Makhachev ploughed over Oliveira on the way to a second-round submission. Oliveira later bounced back by knocking out Beneil Dariush in the first round at UFC 289. However, Makhachev’s training partner Nurmagomedov doesn’t believe “Do Bronx” will be able to make the required changes to exact revenge for his defeat.

Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev End Restults As Per Usman Nurmagomedov
Islam Makhachev, the current UFC lightweight champion, is not biologically related to Usman Nurmagomedov. Despite being Usman’s close and longstanding training partner, Makhachev is not a blood relative. Having said that, Khabib Nurmegomedov, who was actively involved in his career before taking a sabbatical from teaching MMA, is the younger cousin of the Bellator lightweight champion.
Usman Nurmagomedov made his professional debut in 2017 after triumphing in his sole known amateur MMA match. The native of Dagestan prevailed in his first eleven matches, 10 of which were decided by decision and seven in the opening round. He competed for the first time in a Bellator event in 2021, putting the division on notice with a unanimous decision victory over Mike Hamel.
Usman Nurmagomedov shared his views on Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev: He said, “I think it’s going to be the same thing,” Of course, Charles Oliveira – maybe he’s going to fix some mistakes. This is a fight. Something can happen. But I know Islam is training very hard. He’s very smart. He can wrestle, strike and grapple, too. I don’t think Charles Oliveira can give him some hard situation.”
When he faces former champion Brent Primus (12-3 MMA, 10-3 BMMA), Nurmagomedov (17-0 MMA, 6-0 BMMA) will try to defend his own lightweight title at Bellator 300 on October 7 at Pechanga Arena in San Diego.
