This weekend in Las Vegas, the prelims are concluded by the bantamweight duo of Miles Johns and Dan Argueta.
Argueta, a competitor on Season 29 of The Ultimate Fighter, performed admirably in his last fight against Ronnie Lawrence, which was stopped early and ruled a no-contest. He also made a strong showing in his comeback to the 135-pound division. Johns, a member of the DWCS Class of 2019, is 4-2 in six UFC starts, with his most recent victory coming against Vince Morales in November.

Dan Argueta vs. Miles Johns Preview And Odds
Dan Argueta is at -185, while Miles Johns is at +154.
Dan Argueta might have had the worst luck in a UFC match that I have ever witnessed. He dominated Ronnie Lawrence throughout his final appearance in the UFC octagon, eventually locking in a mounted guillotine.
Lawrence had his hand raised in the customary about-to-tap posture, but referee Keith Peterson entered the fight a little too soon, ending it despite Lawrence’s protests while still awake.
Even though I feel bad for Lawrence, he wasn’t getting any better. Argueta would have received the first-round stoppage he justly deserved, as well as presumably a higher betting line, had Peterson waited a few more seconds.
Due to the referee’s decision, the fight was instead ruled a no-contest, and Argueta is still seeking his first UFC triumph.
This line needs to be lengthier because Argueta is many levels above Johns in terms of his grappling ability.
Prediction: Dan Argueta may win the upcoming bout against his fellow opponent Miles Johns.
