Why Jake Paul Has a Massive Advantage over Nate Diaz- ‘I was Like Damn’

The 26-year-old is coming off his first defeat, losing a split decision to Tommy Fury in February. This will be Diaz’s boxing debut. His last fight came inside the cage at UFC 279 in September, when he submitted Tony Ferguson in the fourth round.

Many fans were curious to see what Paul would do next in boxing. A rematch with Fury made obvious sense since he could avenge the first blemish on his professional record.

However, considering what seems to be very genuine animosity between he and Paul, Diaz might be the most sensible candidate.

About 35 minutes into the press conference, Jake Paul was responding to a query when Nate Diaz, who would soon be Jake Paul’s opponent, put his hat on backward, stood up, and left the podium.

Paul, a former YouTube sensation turned prizefighter who earned a fortune by getting under people’s skin on social media, is on one side. Paul has completely altered the face of boxing. On the other side is Diaz, a grizzled former UFC star with a sizable cult following who choked out Conor McGregor and developed a reputation as someone who will fight anyone at any time in any place, a claim he does not mind reiterating frequently. Diaz also has a history of winning in unconventional circumstances.

On August 5, Paul and Diaz will square off in a boxing contest here. But on Tuesday, they held their first joint news conference, and there was a wealth of interesting information, notes, and insights.
