Therefore, the team gets a much-needed break. However, the action returns next weekend on Feb 5. Fan favorite Derrick Lewis will return to the octagon to face Serghei Spivac in the main event of UFC fight night.

The two heavyweights were all set to fight in December. However, Lewis pulled out the night before the fight after he fell sick. As a result, fans will now get to witness ‘The Black Beast’ in action against the hard-hitting Spivac in what will be an exciting contest.

Other upcoming events on the UFC schedule

While Lewis vs Spivac will go ahead on Feb 5, there are some incredible events to follow. The weekend after Lewis vs Spivac, the UFC returns down under to Australia with UFC 284 Islam Makhachev vs Alexander Volkanovski.

The two will compete in the main event of a stacked card on February 12, in Perth. After the UFC 284 event, fans can then look forward to an exhilarating contest between Chito Vera and Cody Sandhagen the following weekend, on Feb 19.

Therefore, the UFC action comes thick and fast after this weekend’s break. While fans always want more, the upcoming events on the UFC schedule definitely make up for this weekend’s break.
