UFC News round up: Dana White’s Power Slap League payment revealed
Dana White’s Power Slap League keeps making news for all the wrong reasons. Slap fighting is a contentious sport, and White’s organization is already facing criticism for its shockingly low player compensation.
Former UFC middleweight Eric Spicely recently disclosed the pay of Power Slap League competitors after claiming to have received an offer from the league. For his first appearance in Dana White’s slap-fighting league, ‘Zebrinha’ claimed he was given a $2000 show fee and a $2000 win bonus. Spicely posted the following on Twitter:

UFC News round up: Kevin Gastelum vs Chris Curtis added to UFC 287
After missing the first Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) event of 2023, Kelvin Gastelum has an opponent for his next fight. Gastelum (17-8, 1 NC) vs. Chris Curtis (30-9) at Middleweight has been added to UFC 287 on April 8, 2023, according to MMAmania.com’s Alex Behunin. Even though the venue has not yet been chosen, whispers are floating around that Brooklyn, New York, is the most likely candidate.

UFC reveals best 30 under 30
The UFC marks its 30th anniversary in 2023. The Octagon hosts excellent performances and moments every year, some of which are the work of up-and-coming fighters or warriors who are just beginning to find their footing before age 30. Over 225 UFC competitors are under 30, and they will probably establish the groundwork for the organization for many years. This four-part series, which UFC announced, begins with competitors who received honorable mentions and are likely to rank among the Top 30 by the year’s conclusion.

Lewis vs Spivac fight night details
Next weekend’s UFC Fight Night 218 in Las Vegas will feature a fight between Derrick Lewis and Sergey Spivak.
Spivak aims to break into the top ten rankings with two victories in a row in the UFC and a record of 6-3-0. Lewis, who is five spots higher than Spivak in the global rankings but has lost his last two fights, is currently rated eighth. In contrast, “The Black Beast” has undergone a remarkable physical change and appears fit ahead of this crucial fight. When Lewis became unwell, the fight scheduled at UFC Fight Night 215 in November was called off.
