Conor McGregor vs Leon Edwards super-fight pithed for London
A fantastic underdog story of 2022 had Leon Edwards defeating Kamaru Usman in a welterweight title match during the fight at UFC 278. It was rumored that the two might cross paths within the cage once more in 2023. The championship rematch, which was said to take place in Edwards’ hometown of London, England, was approved even by UFC president Dana White.
Usman recently revealed his hand injury. And Conor McGregor is recommended as a backup opponent by fight fans.
Heard through the grapevine that UFC looking to offer @Leon_edwardsmma… @TheNotoriousMMA at #UFC286 for the WW Championship.
Reading between the lines, I assume McGregor would take 1 USADA test in February then UFC waver the 6 month window, similar to Lesnar x Hunt.
