UFC News round up: Conor McGregor trolled by 13th-ranked LW fighter

Conor McGregor, a legendary fighter in the UFC, has slid out of the top 15 in any division in the organization for the first time since 2014. With only one victory in the division throughout his stint in the UFC, the former two-weight world champion had been clinging to his position at 155 lb by a thread.

Renato Moicano, currently ranked 13th in the UFC Lightweight division, mocked the former UFC champion for reaching his career low. He wrote that Conor McGregor was removed from the rankings as it should be.

Andrew Tate challenged by a UFC fighter

After Andrew Tate insulted the principles of jiu-jitsu, UFC fighter Anthony Smith challenged him to a battle. Smith, a promising light heavyweight prospect, requested an unusual hybrid-style matchup with “Top G,” which is difficult to imagine in practice.

Anthony Smith has yet to formally declare his return to the UFC after losing by KO to Magomed Ankalaev in his previous fight. In the meantime, Michael Bisping and “Lionheart” recently spoke on the “Believe Me Podcast” to discuss several issues. When asked what Jiu-Jitsu expert Andrew Tate thought, Smith couldn’t help but challenge “Top G.”

“I don’t think he was entirely wrong [about his opinions about jiu-jitsu],” the UFC fighter remarked. “Jiu-jitsu is a slippery slope when you’re dealing with several assailants. If that’s all you know how to do or all you’re allowed to use, that won’t be easy. We’ll work something out. If Andrew Tate wants to have a fight where you can scratch, bite, and even use a knife, and it’s just the two of us in a room where I can only use jiu-jitsu and you can only kickbox, I’m leaving that room with everything in your pockets, without a doubt.”

UFC News round up: Khabib Nurmagomedov envisions Islam’s retirement

According to the UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov, the current UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev is expected to defend his championship five more times before calling it quits. The Eagle believes that the American Kickboxing Academy (AKA) standout will overtake him as the greatest UFC lightweight champion of all time.

In a recent interview, Nurmagomedov said, “I think he needs at least five,” via Drake Riggs of MMA Fighting. “Perhaps six. The ideal would be that. Three years and six fights are equal to six defenses. Since no one can consistently be at the top, he can then decide to retire from the sport. The All-Powerful made the Man to be strong first, then feeble. He is both young and ancient. With that in mind, the target is five to six defenses.”

Sean Strickland compares UFC fighters with P*rn stars

Without Sean Strickland’s controversial opinions on current affairs, a fight week would not be complete. This time, the American compared UFC competitors to actors in pornographic films. UFC President Dana White gained notoriety for his divisive opinion over Paddy Pimblett’s difficult decision victory and the main event’s split draw between Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz. The UFC president received criticism from the MMA community for his apparent bias and offensive comments.

Sean Strickland was his typical outspoken self at the pre-fight press conference for UFC Vegas 66, bringing attention to Dana White’s offensive remarks: “What big frightening motherf**ers can we pick to fight each other if I’m the CEO of the UFC? I said, “I hope you’re having a good Christmas.” I hope everything is well. No! Dude, we’re f**king cattle. What distinguishes pornstars from the rest of us?”
