Holloway vs Allen: UFC: Max Holloway has suffered three losses against Alexander Volkanovski, including the one where he lost his featherweight belt. Despite that, the Hawaiian sees himself as a better fighter than current 145 lbs champion Alexander Volkanovski. Follow UFC updates with Insidesport.IN.

Prior to facing Arnold Allen next week, Holloway connected with Brett Okamoto and explained why he thinks himself a superior fighter to Alexander Volkanovski.

Max Holloway said, “Yes I do believe I am a better fighter than Alex Volkanovski. If I didn’t believe I was the better fighter than him, then why am I fighting the same weight class against a guy? Ask anybody, anybody who lost to anybody. ‘Do you believe you are a better fighter than this guy? Ofcourse they are gonna say.”

“Because once we start saying like No, I think. Once you get that acceptance like this guy might be better than me, then you don’t belong. You should retire.”

Max Holloway had one of the most legendary runs, as the featherweight champion. After losing against Conor McGregor in 2013, Holloway set a 14-fight win streak in the featherweight category. He beat legends like Jose Aldo, Ricardo Lamas, Chad Mendes, Cub Swanson, and Anthony Pettis, amongst many others.

Insidesport
Max Holloway has suffered 7 losses as a professional MMA fighter out of which 3 are against Alexander Volkanovski

However, Holloway is 2-3 in his last five fights. Interestingly, all three of those defeats have come against Volkanovski. If ‘Blessed’ beats Allen this week, we can see a fourth clash between Mas Holloway and Alexander Volkanovski.
