‘The Notorious’ was the highest-paid UFC fighter and created history by becoming a double division champion. Unfortunately, he suffered a brutal leg injury in UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier in the first round, fracturing his left fibula and tibia.

Conor McGregor had been out of the fight game for a long time, and he announced his return with a spectacular transformation and training videos.

Mystic Mac, being out of the game, still never left his followers with entertainment. The trash talk king expressed his desire to create history by becoming a three-division champion and started calling out apex players of divisions.

His recent callout included Kamaru Usman and Charles Oliveira.UFC Hall of Famer and podcast biggie Henry Cejudo said Conor should go for Tony Ferguson instead of apex players making his comeback smooth and easy.

Seems the recent loss of Tony Ferguson to Michael Chandler via a brutal front kick has given an image of easy bait.

However, another UFC Podcast biggie Josh Thompson has extended his views of Tony Ferguson fighting and said, Tony, ain’t an easy catch for Conor McGregor.

Josh Thomson in his recent podcast WEIGHING IN said,

“I don’t think that’s a good fight for [McGregor] at all. I think the reach of Tony… I think Conor’s gonna have a hard time getting inside on him. Tony’s maybe not as fast as Conor. I don’t know the size may be a problem now as well because [McGregor’s] put on, he might have slowed down. Watching him hit mitts online doesn’t look as fast as he used to.”

“In the clinch, Tony Ferguson is a way better fighter. He presses Conor McGregor to the fence. He’s lost out there turning first and elbows… his face off you know, knees and clinches, then if he does get in the ground… looks for the submission quickly.”

Conor McGregor was expected to make his comeback by 2022 summer, as he posted his recent training and workout videos. But sources said, his comeback is more postponed as the injury is not yet completely healed.
