UFC Vegas 68 | Jeka Saragih vs Anshul Jubli

Given the outstanding potential in the lightweight division for Road to UFC, it is a welcome surprise that the last two competitors are from two nations with no history in the UFC. For a contract with the UFC, Anshul Jubli (6-0) of India takes on Jeka Saragih (13-2) of Indonesia. Both of these athletes should enjoy a prosperous career in the UFC and establish themselves as household names back home.

Jubli shocked many when he engaged “Red Horse” Kim Kyung Pyo in a semifinal fight and defeated the more skilled Korean competitor in a split decision. Throughout the battle, Jubli had superb range control and a devastating jab; typically, his fights highlight his jiujitsu skills.

Ki Won Bin was sent into space by Saragih’s rocket right hand in the semifinals, adding to his growing star power. The Indonesian, rising to fame in his home nation, prepared for that bout in San Diego. Even if Jubli gains strength throughout the fight, Jeka Saragih winning rounds on damage is the better wager in a coin-flip battle.

UFC Vegas 68 | Jeongyeong Lee vs Yi Zha

China’s Yi Zha (21-3) and Korea’s Lee Jeong Young (9-1) are highly aggressive boxers who aim to amuse. Both of Lee Jeong Young’s opponents from the Road to the UFC, who had highly respected names, were swiftly defeated, one by knockout and the other via submission. Because of this, he will likely be among the favorites for the finals, and many people have compared his style to that of Choi Doo Ho, or “The Korean Superboy.”

Chinese-Tibetan Yi Zha, whose tenacity and offense earned him a split decision over Koyomi Matsushima in the semifinals, will put him under much strain. UFC Vegas 68 | Toshiomi Kazama vs Rinya Nakumura

Early in 2023, Toshiomi Kazama (10-2) and Japan’s Rinya Nakamura (6-0) will compete for a lucrative UFC deal. Kazama should have been in the finals even though he received a bye because his opponent didn’t make weight. He is a skilled grappler who defeated Keremuaili Maimaitituoheti in the first round of the competition while showcasing submission attempts and throws.

The fighter with the most promise from this tournament is his opponent, Nakamura, and he has merited that designation. His scary TKO victory against Shohei Nose in the semifinals followed his first-round submission victory in the Road to UFC quarterfinal round. Kazama will become a top prospect from Japan if he can sustain enough damage to be TKO’d in the second round.

UFC Fight Night | Seung guk Choi vs Hyun sung Park

In the Road to UFC semifinals, Choi defeated Rama Supandhi after a break of more than two years since his last fight. Then came Qiulun, who Choi once more dominated by grappling. Park’s Chan Sung Jung imitator is an inch shorter and gives up two inches of reach.

Thanks to a first-round thrashing of Jeremia Siregar, “Peace of Mind” quickly advanced to the Road to UFC semifinals. This brought up a semifinal matchup with experienced Muay Thai fighter Topnoi Kiwram, who felled Park early but lost to a comeback submission halfway through the opening round. Knockouts and submissions account for an equal portion of Park’s six professional victories.

Choi needs to have significantly improved his technical game to win this, and given that he has been a professional for almost five years, I don’t hold out much hope. Park is superior to him and might finish with a rear naked choke or a firm counter. I’m going with Park in a technical knockout in the second round.

UFC Fight Night | Ji Yeon Kiim vs Mandy Bohm

After losing to Lucie Pudilova in her UFC debut, “Fire Fist” went on to win three of her following four fights, including a TKO victory over Nadia Kassem. Since then, she has suffered four straight losses, albeit her decision loss against Priscila Cachoeira wasn’t without controversy. She will have an inch advantage over Bohm.

After beginning her career on the German circuit, Bohm defeated Jade Masson-Wong for the TKO Flyweight title, then defeated Griet Eeckhout to win her lone Bellator match. She lost consecutive decisions in the Octagon against Ariane Lipski and Victoria Leonardo, making those her last victories. She has each submitted and submitted two professional opponents.

Kim is very fast in the cage. Bohm may succeed in playing keep-away early on, but Kim will be the one harming as the rounds progress and Bohm’s gas tank runs low. Kim succeeds in getting back on track by decisively outworking Bohm. Kim is likely to win in a unanimous vote.

UFC Fight Night | Jun yong Park vs Denis Tiuliuln

When he faced off against Jamie Pickett in September 2022, he was much more successful, pummeling “The Night Wolf” into submission. All but one of his professional victories have been knockouts.

Although it’s challenging to imagine Tiuliulin lasting long enough for that to matter, Park’s cardio and endurance are both strong enough to stop Tiuliulin from snowballing late. For a mid-round finish, Park overpowers him on the mat. Park will likely submit in the second round.

UFC Fight Night | Tatsuro Taira vs Jesus Aguilar

Taira ended his protracted involvement with Shooto in July 2021 by choking out Ryuya Fukuda for the organization’s Flyweight championship. Alfredo Muaiad was quickly submitted once more, and he then moved to the Octagon, where he easily defeated C.J. Vergara and Carlos Candelario. He has an eight-inch reach advantage and is three inches taller than the other man.

Aguilar, who has yet to lose since making his professional debut, put together a great run to get accepted into the Contender Series, winning the UWC Flyweight title. At the APEX, after a rocky beginning, he managed to outlast Erisson Ferreira and finish him off with a guillotine choke. Five of his six submission victories were achieved using that method.

Taira can sometimes make things challenging for himself, but he’s not stupid enough to fall victim to it, which is the only plausible scenario in which Aguilar wins. Before locating Aguilar’s neck, he exerts total control everywhere. A second-round submission for Taira is anticipated.
