Derrick Lewis: top five knockouts in the UFC ahead of UFC Fight Night 215: Lewis vs Spivac

5. Derrick Lewis vs Damian Grabowski: Number five on our list is Lewis’ knockout of Damian Grabowski back in 2016. What makes this KO special is how difficult it was. Grabowski was on his black, kicking up at Lewis. ‘The Black Beast’ timed the right hand to perfection, avoided the kicks, and landed flush on the chin, knocking out Grabowski.

4. Derrick Lewis vs Marcin Tybura: Fourth on the list is his KO win over Marcin Tybura in 2018. Lewis showed incredible strength first to separate from Tybura and then threw a perfect right hand to the chin. Needless to say, Tybura fell to the ground, and the referee waved it off.

3. Derrick Lewis vs Chris Daukaus: Number three on the list is the KO that gave Lewis the outright record for most KOs in UFC history. Lewis took on Daukaus as the main event in 2021, and they put on a great show. After an initial flurry of punches from Lewis, Daukaus clenched and looked to have survived.

Daukaus then threw some punches of his own, and it looked like the worst had passed. However, Lewis had other ideas. He waited for his moment and as Daukaus moved away, threw three perfectly timed right hands to knockout Daukaus cold, and sent him to the canvas in the scariest fashion.

2. Derrick Lewis vs Alexander Volkov: Second, on the list of Derrick Lewis’ knockouts has to be his knockout of Russian, Alexander Volkov. Despite Volkov having the upper hand throughout the fight and picking Lewis apart, the American knew he had to be patient.

Ultimately, he got his chance, and he took it. Throwing a perfect right hand that almost knocked Volkov’s mouthpiece out of his mouth. The right dropped the Russian, who looked out of his wits already. Lewis then jumped on him and landed a flurry of right hands, knocking Volkov out cold.

1. Derrick Lewis vs Curtis Blaydes: Unsurprisingly, our number knockout is Lewis’ KO against Curtis Blaydes. The magnitude of the fight was such that the winner was sure of a title shot. Blaydes came into the contest talking about how he would tire Lewis out with his wrestling.

Lewis, however, had other ideas. When Blaydes shot for a takedown in round three, ‘The Black Beast’ landed the perfect uppercut, with impeccable timing, right on the chin. The punch was so perfect he knocked him out cold. Lewis then landed two more for good measure before the referee pulled him off.

So there you have it, our top five Derrick Lewis KOs. Let us know which one you think was the best Derrick Lewis knockout.
