With his ‘backpack style’ of grappling-heavy combat, Aljamain Sterling has recently been able to defeat some of the most deadly strikers, like Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen. Welch thinks that ‘Sugar’ can, however, use his inventive striking to his advantage and knock Aljamain Sterling out of the fight.

Tim Welch said in a later segment of his interview with Submission Radio that opponents frequently try to stalk Sean O’Malley in an effort to force the fight to the ground. But most of them have failed.
