UFC 288: Aljamain Sterling defeats Henry Cejudo

Many UFC fans were shocked to watch after Henry Cejudo lost to Aljamain Sterling. The bout went into the 3rd round with both fighters pulling equal chances to win. Unfortunately, the battle ended in Sterling’s favor after he overpowered the former champion. Despite Cejudo’s attempt to pull off the fight in the fifth round, he lost via split decision.

Recently, Conor McGregor mocked Henry Cejudo after he tweeted earning quick money on Sterling vs Cejudo. The former UFC lightweight champion uploaded a video congratulating Alajamin Sterling while taking a shot at Cejudo.

Although Aljamain Sterling won, many fans claimed Henry Cejudo was robbed by the judges. They expected a new champion as the Olympic Champion Henry Cejudo who had an upper hand in the fight with 4 takedowns.

UFC 288: Sean O’Malley wanted Henry Cejudo to be the winner at UFC 288 main event

Sean O’Malley is next in line for the UFC bantamweight title shot. The 28-year-old has ranked himself to the number 2 spot after some big wins in his last 3 fights. During the post-match conference, Sean O’Malley disclosed that he thought Henry Cejudo has won and he would be facing him but that didn’t happen.
