Sean O’Malley Jibes in Dana White- Dana White being the behemoth of the organization is on high heels expecting the outcomes of UFC 280. Which is notably referred as the biggest PPV this year.
In his recent appearance, when asked about Pert Yan vs Sean O’Malley without a second thought, he betted on the former division champion Pert Yan.
The response from White has initiated a farce reply from Suga.
“Once I faceplant Petr into the canvas, Dana will be like, ‘Okay, that was a good fight,’” O’Malley said on The MMA Hour (h/t MMA Junkie).
Regardless, me versus Petr is an epic fight, a sweet, sweet kickboxing fight if I had to guess — two very high-level strikers, two very high-level MMA fighters, and it’s gonna be a very interesting fight. I believe I have what it takes to put Petr’s lights out.
“I think Dana really likes me. I f—king love Dana,” he continued. “So I think with him saying that, it was no disrespect or anything. It’s just his opinion, and anybody could have their own opinion. I don’t really care. I think that fight gets Dana excited. Dana’s been doing this for a long time. He could be getting burnt out of it, [watching] fights every weekend. What fight is gonna make Dana go, ‘I need to watch that fight, I have to watch that, I have to know what happened’? There are very few fights [coming up].”
O’Malley (15-1 1 NC), one of the sport’s most promising prospects, lost his fight with Pedro Munhoz at UFC 276 due to a medical stoppage brought on by an eye poke that was later diagnosed as a corneal abrasion. The 27-year-old UFC fighter is 7-1 with one NC and competes out of Glendale, Arizona.
While being the most decorated former divisions champion lost to Sterling in a rematch for the bantamweight championship at UFC 273 in April (16-3, 8-2 UFC). Since O’Malley hasn’t yet faced a striker of his caliber, his boxing will be a challenge for him because it ranks among the greatest in the sport.
