This is not the first time that somebody has criticized Israel Adesanya’s fighting style in recent times. His lack of ‘entertaining’ fights has made him one of the most talked about fighters recently.

Ahead of his UFC 279 fight against Nate Diaz, Khamzat Chimaev sat down for an interview with the MMA Hour. While discussing a variety of topics, Chimaev opined on his potential future opponent by saying:

“He’s doing his job. He makes his money. Now, he’s the champ. You don’t need to do the crazy things just to win. I don’t know what’s happening with him last time. He fights better before. Now, maybe he’s not that hungry. He’s driving crazy cars. He has a lot of money. And it makes some people change. When you’re hungry, you fight crazy like he did before. And now, I don’t know. He just make the points and win the fights. It’s boring.”

It is safe to say that Khamzat Chimaev isn’t a fan of Israel Adesanya’s fighting style lately. While ‘Borz’ suggests that he’s getting the job done, his fighting style has become rather boring according to the Welterweight.

It is worth noting that Khamzat Chimaev has talked about wanting to move up and fight Israel Adesanya in the past. However, that move isn’t likely to happen anytime soon as he is currently set to face Nate Diaz and will look to potentially challenge for the Welterweight title before moving up to Middleweight.
