Kamaru Usman’s quest for future endeavors: The current behemoth and apex of mixed martial arts on the planet Kamaru Usman has a greater thirst to carve his name in history by pushing to inhuman limits.

In UFC 278 pre-fight conference, The welterweight divisions champion opened up his futuristic plans and his perception of the upcoming title defense.

Usman referred to the famous Three-piece soda incident between Jorge Masvidal and Edwards and justified His knockout on Gamebred on behalf of Edwards.

“Listen, I like you, my man. I’ve done a lot for you. That man[ Masvidal] went back there in London, he put his hands on you, and you guys didn’t do anything, so I had to handle it for you – that’s why I had to knock his head to the moon. I got him for you, so I like you. Thank me.” Usman said.

He further went on to express his future plans to dominate the light heavyweight division.

“I’m still thinking about [skipping middleweight] and going to get that light heavyweight title, too,” said Usman. “I just think I can beat some of those guys. Some! Before you all kill me, I said some. There are some killers in that division and I definitely respect that, but I think those guys who were at the top, there was a couple of guys out there that I would probably take out.”

The UFC welterweight division champion, The Nigerian Nightmare, has an undefeated streak and is at the top of the Mixed martial arts spectrum.

The Nigerian nightmare is not a regular fighter. His striking dominance and his winning streak have elevated him to the level of the number one pound-to-pound fighter.

The reigning welterweight champion has been at the top of the food chain. Kamaru Usman receives regular call-outs from all other exceptional UFC fighters.

With a stunning record of straight 21 wins, he stands undefeated in UFC. He earned his name The Nigerian Nightmare due to his dominant win and giving nightmares to his opponents.

The Number one pound-to-pound fighter, Kamaru Usman, was out of the octagon for a while and waiting for his return, but his injury has been blocking him for a long period.

Finlay, The Nightmare is back on UFC 278 to fight his title against Leon Edwards.

Edwards, meanwhile, has also gone unbeaten since that first meeting in 2015 with a 9-0-1 mark. He returned from a lengthy layoff in March 2021 but delivered an accidental eye poke against Belal Muhammad that left his opponent unable to continue. Edwards returned in June 2021 to outpoint Nate Diaz in a fight that he controlled until the final round, where Diaz badly hurt Edwards with a right hand.
