The altercation started at the UFC 276 event when Henry Cejudo crashed Sean O’Malley’s post-fight interview backstage. A few days after the altercation, O’Malley took took to Twitter to challenge Cejudo for a fight on September 10th, he said:
“Sept 10th to soon fat ass or you all talk @henry. Can’t find his twitter someone tag please”

Henry Cejudo was quick to reply to this tweet from Sean O’Malley and suggested that he’ll be eligible to fight in October. He said:
“Lol Ronald Methdonald got his feeling hurt. He doesn’t want to die! I’m Eligible in October per USDA. Plus I have to lose some of this Mexican fat. Ps make sure the Virgin boyz are in front row to witness the assassination. I love paperview point”

Sean O’Malley’s most recent outing in the octagon was against Pedro Munhoz, the bout ended in a no contest after an eye poke because of which Munhoz wasn’t able to continue.

‘Triple C’ has been retired ever since, however, Henry Cejudo has been teasing a return to the octagon for a while now. Moreover, he has re-entered the USADA testing pool earlier this year and is expected to make a return to the octagon.
It will be interesting to see if a fight between Sean O’Malley and Henry Cejudo plays out if and when the two enter the octagon.
