Jake Shields requested for $5 Million to Paulo Costa
On Twitter, Jake Shields announced that he was spending time with his new acquaintance, Billy McFarland, and disclosed that he had just put $5 million into an incredible concept for a festival called Fyre. In case anyone is unaware, Fyre Festival was the biggest music festival that was established by Billy McFarland and rapper Ja Rule, but the idea was a major failure. Given it was nothing how they promoted it.
Despite McFarland’s reputation for pitching and soliciting investments for various projects, many of which have failed, he is once again attempting to organize the Fyre Festival after serving nearly four years of a six-year sentence in prison. This may be why Shields made a tweet that he invested his own money into the event, despite its problematic history. Or maybe by taking Shields’ reputation he might be joking.
At the same time, Paulo Costa responded to Shields’ tweet with an emoji, as shown above. In response, Shields mentioned that although he had already invested $5 million in the Fyre Festival, they still needed another $5 million and requested that Costa also invest in the event.
Indeed, it will be interesting to see whether Jake Shields’ investment in the Fyre Festival is genuine or just a joke. Given the event’s previous failure, some may question the wisdom of investing further funds. However, it is noteworthy that even Billy McFarland himself tweeted about it and expressed his approval of having investors who are willing to take risks and try new things despite potential setbacks.
