Paul Felder Striving To Make A Strong Return After Brief Retirement

He plans to attend the historic occasion in the spring of next year when he returns.

Paul Felder, a former lightweight contender in the UFC, wants to come back. The Irish Dragon is still employed by the UFC as a commentator. But in 2020, after consecutive defeats to Rafael dos Anjos and Dan Hooker, Paul Felder started openly talking about retiring. The lightweight fighter finally declared his retirement from boxing in May of the following year.

Paul Felder is nearing a comeback, albeit it has been more than two years since his retirement. The former lightweight claimed that he participated in the USADA testing pool earlier this summer. He explained at the time that it was only a preventative measure in case he ever decided to return to the UFC.

Paul Felder Striving To Make A Strong Return

It appears that UFC 300 might take place one day. Paul Felder has been reinstated to the promotion’s active fighter roster, as first reported by The Schmo. Additionally, he plans to attend the historic occasion in the spring of next year when he returns. The native of Philadelphia hasn’t officially announced a comeback as of yet.

Paul Felder’s anticipated comeback, though, is only one of many plotlines leading up to the UFC 300 event in 2019. Alexander Volkanovski, the show’s main attraction, has already made a call to schedule a rematch with Islam Makhachev. Prior to his shocking defeat to Sean Strickland, previous titleholder Israel Adesanya had expressed interest in hosting the occasion.

In addition, Paul Felder’s prospective return isn’t even the only thing connected to the occasion. Ronda Rousey departed the WWE earlier this summer, sparking reports and rumours of a possible comeback at UFC 300. However, that notion has been rejected by Dana White and pundit Daniel Cormier.
