Despite the fact that a matchup between the two heavyweights would undoubtedly rank among the most desirable in the sport of boxing, negotiations have come to nothing.

Fans are now frustrated, and Usyk and Fury are both being pushed to look for alternative ways to keep engaged. Daniel Dubois, the first required adversary for the three belts Usyk owns, is the next obstacle in his way.

Usyk proposed his own crossover fight with Conor McGregor in response to Fury’s.

On October 28, Fury and Ngannou will square off in Saudi Arabia in a matchup that will follow boxing rules but not have Fury’s world title on the line. Given that no sanctioning organisation is presently prepared to support it, it is unclear whether the outcome will be recorded on the fighters’ records. It is unknown how many rounds are planned, but there will be three ringside judges present and the 10-point must system, which is the standard for professional boxing scoring, is being employed.

Instead of defending his world championship, Fury has chosen to compete in a high-profile matchup with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

Usyk proposed an alternative to Fury’s crossover match via Seconds Out with Conor McGregor at the significant weight .

A McGregor fight is most likely a joke because the Ukrainian has made it plain what he wants to do since moving up from the cruiserweight class after being unbeatable and joining the big men.

Although Fury, who has a record of 33 victories and one tie, is certain to face criticism for his opponent selection, there is precedent in the form of Floyd Mayweather, who improved his boxing record to 50-0 by defeating UFC superstar McGregor in a match that attracted more than four million pay-per-view purchases.

Ngannou, a Cameroonian-French fighter who has won 17 and lost three of his MMA matches, inked a contract with the PFL in May, a league that competes against the UFC. However, the agreement does not prevent Ngannou from pursuing boxing. Ngannou, who is now 36, had initially planned to become a professional boxer, but once he arrived in Europe in his mid-20s, he turned his attention to MMA.
