Khabib Nurmagomedov dominated the lightweight division for years on his way to the title. He then defended it three times and retired with an unbeaten 29-0 record. However, since 2021, the Russian has not fought and has moved to coaching. Despite this, the UFC 5 makers still rate him highly.

Khabib Nurmagomedov becomes number 1 UFC lightweight
MMA Uncensored revealed the top five UFC lightweights in the UFC 5 video game. They shared a post on X, which confirmed that Khabib Nurmagomedov is still the best lightweight fighter. The Russian tops the charts with a perfect five-star rating.
His countryman and prodigy Islam Makhachev is second in the game. Like Khabib, Islam Makhachev also has a five-star rating. Charles Oliveira is third on the list with four-and-a-half stars. Alongside Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier, who are fourth and fifth, respectively.
While the others are not a surprise considering, they are the four best lightweights in the UFC right now; it is a surprise to see Khabib Nurmagomedov on top. The Russian has not fought for two years and has no intention of returning.
Khabib Nurmagomedov’s long-time rival Conor McGregor is preparing for a return next year and is still active. However, he does not feature on the top five list. However, like Nurmagomedov, McGregor has also not fought in over two years. Although it is just a video game, you can be sure that Conor McGregor will have his say on the fact that a retired Khabib Nurmagomedov features, but he doesn’t.
