Joe Rogan’s Special Muay Thai Event Request Sparks Massive Offer From Dana White’s Competitor
Joe Rogan Gets an Offer From Another Promotion
The American presenter runs a famous podcast called The Joe Rogan Experience. And last week, on his podcast, Rogan spoke about the possibility of the UFC hosting Muay Thai events. Rogan even said he would entice Dana White to do it by promising to commentate on it.
As a result of these comments, Rogan now has an offer from one of UFC’s biggest competitors, ONE FC. ONE FC is the biggest promotion in Asia, and unlike the UFC, they have different disciplines of combat, including Muay Thai. Therefore, it is no surprise that they have the best Muay Thai athletes on their roster.
After ONE Fight Night 14, ONE FC president Chatri Sityadong spoke to the media. When quizzed about Rogan’s comments, Sityadong said, “Yea, well, Joe. You and I know each other. Come on anytime, man. If you want to commentate in the number one league, by far, in Muay Thai, absolute killers and monsters, which you know already, Joe. Give me a call.”
So clearly Sityadong is in favor of having Rogan in ONE FC. But is this a problem for the UFC? Fortunately for UFC fans, it does not mean Rogan will leave the UFC. The commentator is not tied to the organization and can do other things while still being part of the UFC. Moreover, Dana White and Rogan share a good relationship, and it is unlikely that such an offer would ruin it.
So there you have it. What do you make of this situation? Do you think Joe Rogan should take up the chance to commentate on Muay Thai in ONE FC?
