After losing by knockout fight Ryan Bader for the Bellator heavyweight belt, Emelianenko quit mixed martial arts. After the fight, he claimed to have taken a rest before returning to the gym. When asked who he would like to face in his debut bout, Emelianenko responded that Mike Tyson would be an “interesting” opponent.

The Russian gave up mixed martial arts after losing but has subsequently expressed interest in boxing. Fedor Emelianenko expressed interest in a boxing battle with Mike Tyson during an appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani. Although “Iron Mike” is retired himself, he will be appearing with Roy Jones Jr. in a show in November 2020.

Fedor Emelianenko acknowledged during the interview that Mike Tyson is his ideal boxing foe. He would want to fight him in October on the undercard of Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury, but there haven’t been any talks between the two. The boxing legend is renowned for training “The Predator.”
Emelianenko said that he would be open to fighting Tyson on the undercard of the Oct. 28 super fight between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia. Former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou is receiving preparation for the fight from Mike Tyson.
The Russian acknowledged he hasn’t yet spoken with promoters about setting up a boxing battle, but regardless of whether the Tyson fight happens, he plans to compete in 2023.
