Mike Perry: the ex-UFC Middleweight division, has set his sights on some of the biggest names in combat sports for potential matchups in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). Following his win over Luke Rockhold in his BKFC debut earlier this month, Perry told TMZ Sports that a fight against UFC superstar Conor McGregor “looks very entertaining.” Follow UFC News Updates with Insidesport.IN
Mike Perry: Perry Have Set His Sight On biggest names in combat sports
in the interview he said, “I think a fight [with Conor] looks very entertaining. The build-up. The s–t talk. “You know he’s still in with the UFC. Let’s hope he beats Michael Chandler, then we can really make the biggest fight date in the world, ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry vs. ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor.” If Conor doesn’t work out, Mike has a couple other opponents in mind. “Tommy Fury is interesting. Logan Paul. These are good popular fights. Possible fights as well.”
While recognizing that a McGregor matchup is unlikely at this point. Because, it should be noted that McGregor is currently under contract with the UFC, which would forbid him from participating in any other fighting promotions., Perry suggested two other prominent figures as possible opponents: social media star Logan Paul and reality TV personality Tommy Fury.
With McGregor still under contract with the UFC, a showdown between Perry and the Irishman seems improbable for now. However, Perry appears eager to take on the biggest names possible as he looks to ascend to the top of the BKFC ranks. Fights against the likes of Paul, Fury or other influencers-turned-boxers could bring major attention and help raise Perry’s profile as he pursues a title in bare-knuckle boxing.
