Michael Chandler vs Conor McGregor: UFC news: Michael Chandler has been interested in fighting Conor McGregor since he entered the UFC from Bellator. McGregor, who hasn’t won a fight since January 2020, can make his UFC return this year and opt to compete at 170 lbs instead of 155 lbs. That said, Michael Chandler recently connected with Michael Bisping in Believe You Me Podcast and shed views on facing a welterweight Conor McGregor.

Chandler said, “I am walking around almost 190 right now and I stay lean because I am always training. I am not getting fluffy or fat and I am always around that 185-190 clip. So, 170 for me would be a dream come true. I don’t like making 155. I still think I am bigger than Conor [McGregor] at this point, even with his regimen that he has been on.”

Interestingly, both Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler have suffered their latest defeats at the hands of Dustin Poirier. After knocking out Conor McGregor at UFC 257 and UFC 264, Poirier lost a title attempt against Charles Oliveira at UFC 269.
