  • Khamzat Chimaev vs Jon Phillips

In 2020, at UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige, Chimaev faced off against Jon Phillips in his UFC debut. The fighter’s first fight went well, as he won by submission of Phillips in the second round. He also received the $50,000 Performance of the Night award bonus for his performance. Chimaev made a total of $73,500, which comprised $3,500 in incentive compensation for the fight week, $10,000 to show, and $10,000 as a win bonus.

At UFC Fight Night: Whittaker vs. Till, Chimaev faced off against Ryse McKee just ten days after winning his debut fight in the UFC. The first-round TKO by Chimaev in the welterweight contest set a UFC record for the fastest string of victories. Chimaev earned $77,500 for the fight, which included $3,500 in fight-week incentives, $12,000 to show, and $12,000 in win bonuses. In addition, Chimaev received an extra $50,000 for taking home the Performance of the Night award prize.

Additionally, a $50,000 post-fight bonus. For sponsorship agreements, $5,000 was added to the total.

Khamzat Chimaev claimed he made the most money from a fight in his career when he faced Kevin Holland. When Chimaev was recently questioned about his fight purse, he admitted that while he received over $1 million, not all of it went into his pocket. The fighter claims that because of the high tax he had to pay and living in Sweden, his fight purse was finally cut in half. The exact purse and payout is still not out.
