Many UFC stars are being promoted quickly as MMA becomes more and more popular; some even bypass some belt tiers. Some of the recently added names include, Conor Mcgregor and Khamzat.
Khamzat Chimaev and Islam Makhachev had already challenged this, pointing out the disparities in the promotion standards and how simple it is for some of their opponents to submit.
After defeating Kamaru Usman in the UFC 294 main event, Khamzat Chimaev was promptly promoted to BJJ brown belt and handed his biggest career victory.

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s BBJ Belt Earnings Trail Behind
Conor McGregor too received his black belt in Jiu-Jitsu a month back from his coach John Kavanagh, though he has been out of the octagon for quite a while now after having faced a leg injury against his opponent Dustin Poirier.
While we are here talking about the fighter’s BBJ Belt earnings, we cannot skip on Khabib Nurmagomedov who is also known as one of the greatest fighters who retired from the fighting industry rather very early with a record of 29-0.
Some people might find this shocking, but Khabib Nurmagomedov is actually a white belt in BJJ. Even so, there’s more to the tale, and this is more of a technicality than a true testament to his talent.
It turns out that despite Khabib having wrestled for most of his life, he has never received a formal promotion in BJJ. Technically speaking, he is still a white belt because of this. He still holds a black belt in Judo and is a recognized expert in Sambo, thus his grappling abilities are unmatched. He has also effortlessly out-grappled and submitted a number of BJJ black belts.
