Jorge Masvidal on his assault charges: The welterweight division fighters turned friends into foes, and the results of their enmity have caused a grave impact.

Masvidal is accused of assaulting Covington outside the Papi Steak restaurant in Miami immediately after their UFC 272 battle. Covington won the fight inside the octagon by unanimous decision.

Street Jesus claimed Chaos made ill statements about his family, which made him confront him outside the octagon.

Currently, both the fighters are locked up for a pre-trial on August 17 and a hearing on August 29. Masvidal might go down to a 15-year jail sentence if proven guilty.

Fighting outside the octagon might not be a new incident for the “Street Jesus”. He has a history of street incidents as he made his debut in UFC through a backyard clash video going viral. But a 15 years Jail sentence would cost his entire career and freedom.

Being one of the promising prospects in UFC and notably the title winner BMF, his loss would quite affect the organization.

Jorge Masvidal, in his recent appearance on The MMA hour with MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, stated his condition on the charges pressed against him.

Jorge Masvidal said, “Allegedly this, allegedly that.” Helwani then chimed in and asked if the case is still underway. Masvidal replied by saying, “Yeah, I’m facing three felonies, if you wanna know the exact truth. And yeah, you know, still pending, you know. This guy’s a coward f**k. So, what could I expect from a coward f**k like him?”

“Yeah, but, I mean, the justice system, right? So, it’s not like I get to make up these calls and stuff, you know? I wanna say I’ll be okay. I was in the positive impression about my faith in the good outcome. But I’m still facing three felonies, you know.”

The Gamebred is seeking for his potential comeback and has called out Conor McGrgeor and Nate Diaz.

He has expressed his desire to fight for the title by challenging top contenders. However, his rival Colby Covington is the number one ranking contender in the division.
