Masvidal was not present during the incident as he was promoting his Gamebred FC bareknuckle boxing event. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday night at the FLA Live Arena in Florida. Sources report that Masvidal’s father and another man were engaged in an argument at Masvidal’s home when Masvidal’s father allegedly retrieved a firearm and shot the other man. The victim was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

A man was shot twice in the upper body, but fortunately, his wounds are not believed to be fatal. The incident is currently being investigated, According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, they received a distress call at approximately 3 PM. Upon their arrival, they found that paramedics were already attending to an adult male who had sustained gunshot wounds to his upper limbs. Law enforcement officials report that the victim claimed to have engaged in a disagreement with an unknown person which quickly escalated into violence when the other party produced a firearm and fired at him.
