Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic confirmed by Dana White
When asked if “International Fight Week” was the future strategy during the post-fight news conference for UFC 285, Dana White, the president of the UFC, replied, “I don’t know when, but he’s fighting Stipe [Miocic].” The previous week, Miocic, a former Heavyweight champion who holds the record for the most Heavyweight title defenses in UFC history, declared that he would face Jones next.

Jones wasted no time promoting the “GOAT vs. GOAT” clash as both parties appeared to have already committed to the July confrontation. “One thing I know about the UFC is that we cater to fan preferences. Stipe Miocic, I’m hoping you’re working out. That’s what I want because you’re the best heavyweight ever. I desperately want you,” said Jones after the win.

“The following bout will be fantastic,” according to Jones. “With all respect to Stipe, I would resign from my position as a firefighter. I say that,” Jones told the journalists. “My entire universe will be centered around him. The most significant change I would ever have was to defeat the heavyweight G.O.A.T. I will commit every last bit of my resources to it.”
