Last Saturday night, Jones made a victorious comeback to the Octagon, dispatching former interim champion Ciryl Gane in just two minutes. The Frenchman was taken down against the fence by “Bones,” who then used outstanding grappling to lock up a guillotine and win the UFC heavyweight championship.

Jones is now the eighth UFC fighter to have won belts in two weight divisions. His return took more than three years to prepare for because Jones’ last bout was in February 2020. His current record is 27-1 (1 NC).
