Jones lost just once in one of the most controversial contests, Jones vs. Mat Hamil, as he was disqualified from the match at The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights Finals in December 2009. While the battle was perfect up to the point where it went to the ground, Jones, who had been in complete control throughout.

Hamill, however, refused to give in, and Jones made the decision to change up his elbows, which eventually resulted in his Disqualification. For those who don’t know, 12-6 elbow strikes—defined as hitting downward with the tip of the elbow—are prohibited under the Unified Rules of Mixed Martial Arts. Illegal Knee

At UFC 235, Jones did an absolutely unethical job as he kneed Anthony Smith. Smith had the opportunity to walk away with the win and the title when he was struck with an illegal knee to the head while he was on the ground in the fourth round. 

Jones, who indeed knows Smith, will not allow himself to win based on a disqualification, so it is said he used it intentionally. Watch the video above.

Eye Poking

While the former champion occasionally engaged in several dubious actions on different occasions, many UFC fans have accused Jon Jones of being an unethical competitor. He is frequently accused of doing things like poking people in the eyes.

It is believed that Jones purposefully poke regardless of whether it was against Glover Teixeira in an April fight at UFC 172 or Daniel Cormier.
