The knockout artist was mentioned in connection with a hotly anticipated championship defence against Jones, but much to the dismay of fans, he declined an $8 million offer to take on the UFC icon.

Jake Paul along with the PFL has created a pau-per-view division named PFL PPV Super fight where the fighters can rest ensured that they will receive 50% of the income from the events. Jake Paul and Francis Ngannou have both agreed with the fighter-first philosophy. Because as per the revenue split model, fighters make less than 20%of the gross income they should have received.

Jake Paul proposed holding a joint promotion including PFL and UFC athletes. Paul even went so far as to suggest several possible matches for the event, including the much-anticipated Jon Jones vs. Francis Ngannou fight for MMA fans everywhere.

Francis Ngannou says that he has always regretted the fact that he didn’t fight Jon Jones. Being in his present state and position, it would be best for him if he fought against Jon Jones who is considered to be the best in the sport he plays.

The PFL’s head of fighter advocacy, Jake Paul, a former boxer who now works on YouTube, suggested a cross-promotional match between the two heavyweights after Ngannou told Jones to “cross the street” in response to his tweet. Paul has put his name in the running to square off against UFC legend Nate Diaz in the ring following their scheduled boxing battle on August 15.
