Jan Blachowicz vs Israel Adesanya rematch- UFC 259 is considered to be the last style bender’s nightmare. His decision to enter the light heavyweight yielded him a critical loss in his career. By not fighting Jan Blachowicz, Izzy might have stood undefeated in his career.
The main witnessed the last style bender dominating Jared Cannonier in 5 round unanimous decision victory. However, a wide majority of UFC fans witnessing the action declared it a boring performance and eventually left the arena.
Blachowicz criticized Izzy, specifying that Izzy is being more cautious and defensive from his loss in UFC 259 and he wouldn’t mind cutting his weight and entering the middleweight to fight Adesanya once again.
“Maybe this is the reason that now he will be very careful in the fights to not make any mistakes,” Blachowicz told Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. “Just don’t lose the fight. Maybe I have to cut the weight and give him a rematch in his category.
“If I have a chance, why not? For Izzy and his belt, to fight for the belt? I can try.”
“I don’t remember [the lightest I’ve been as an MMA fighter] but when I was a fighter in Muay Thai, it was 91 kilos or [200 pounds],” Blachowicz said. “For a title, I can sacrifice myself a little bit. Why not? I will do it.”
