Bareman said, “Has Khamzat [Chimaev] fought at middleweight yet? Like we can’t be ridiculous. This is the most prestigious title in the sport. Okay, and at times, business takes precedent. I understand that but you are going to give a guy a title shot.”

Khamzat Chimaev is 6-0 in the UFC and 12-0 as a professional MMA fighter. He has already been relevant in the welterweight division, with consecutive wins against Gilbert Burns and Kevin Holland in his last two.
Chimaev can earn a title shot at 170 lbs faster than that at 185 lbs. That said, he failed to make weight in his last fight against Nate Diaz and was forced to get his opponent changed in Holland. So, the 170 lbs weight limit can be a problem for ‘Borz’.
